opinions and encouragement needed please! UPDATE!
hi ladies,
i'm sorry for posting under a fake name  i'm a lurker and sometimes poster here and was a regular on LIW.........
this morning i tested with a digital HPT and got a BFP!!!!!! i was so excited! i had written off the possibility for this month since i was sure AF was about to start and was even having some mild AF like cramping. anyway.....on my way into work, i picked up some more digital tests (i couldn't believe just one!) and the 2nd test showed up as BFN  now i'm confused! the first test was with my first morning urine and the second test was about 3 hours later after having breakfast and drinking water. which test should i believe?? am i pregnant or not??? has this happened to anybody else here??? what should i do next???

UPDATE: well, last night we got home and i couldn't help myself so i POAS again and it said...................................................BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was so excited that the positive showed up even though it was the evening........i'm thinking that must be a good sign! tomorrow i'll call my dr for a blood test.
i cannot say thanks enough to you ladies! all of your posts made me feel so much better. please send lots and lots and lots of sticky dust our way!!!!

You are probably just very early! I say it's a BFP! I'd test again w/ the digital tomorrow morning! I know w/ my BFP I took 3 digitals over 3 days!

Digital requires you to have a higher HCG level - which could take a few days.
With my first PG, I tested with a First Response and got a faint line so before telling DH I ran out to get a digital and planned on giving him a positive digital and little "I love Daddy" bib. It came up BFN I was so confused but knew it didn't mean much - ruined my surprise for DH (instead I had to show him the stick and ask if he saw a line too  )
Anyway, CONGRATS! Test again in the morning with first morning urine.

I agree with the others! Having tested again later in the day, your levels might be too low for the digital if you are very early.

I'm sure it's your first test that's positive. So early in the pregnancy, you have to use that FMU.

I agree with everyone else. Test again tomorrow morning with FMU and the digital. The digitals are much more sensitive to the level of hormone so your urine could have just been diluted too much from the water you drank to give a BFP the 2nd time.

totally agree with this. test with FMU in the morning and i bet you'll see "pregnant" again!

ive never heard of a false positive on a digital! i'd say youre preggers!! the 2nd test couldve come up BFN because you had eaten and had water.. thus diluting your urine.. good luck!!!

omg thank you guys sooooo much! reading all of your posts made me feel so much better! this morning was such a rollercoaster of emotions!
i'm actually going out of town tomorrow morning for an overnight trip with DH so i think i'm gonna hold out and test again on sunday morning. i'm the most impatient person on the face of the planet so it's gonna kill me to wait that long, but i think if i get another BFP on sunday and AF hasn't come then i'll feel better and call my dr on monday morning!
i really cannot say thank you enough!!! i will definitely update on sunday!
