One thing I learned in the Poconos this week.....
2 year olds do not like their food any different than what they are used to.
We hit one restaurant and he begged for grilled cheese. It came out with WHITE American cheese. We didn't even notice. BOY DID HE NOTICE!!!! He refused to eat the white sandwich.
The next day we hit another restaurant. We secretly asked before ordering what color cheese they had. The server looked at us and said matter-of-factly: "We don't have your NEW YORK cheese here. It's white American. That's all."
So, if your child is used to his orange/yellow cheese, better travel with it in a cooler.

Well, it was also a midwest thing too. When I lived in Iowa for over a year, we had yellow American.

We took Bry to Cheesecake Factory a while back and he spit the sandwich out. We were 
The manager saw him spit it out (LOL) and told us they use a mild/sharp cheddar...its not plain ole yellow american!
It's so funny (and frusturating) as to how picky they can be!

I grew up in NJ, and we only had white american everywhere, but McDs still had yellow. I'd only eat white as a kid! Even now I prefer it to yellow.

DD loooves cheddar and mild or sharp she likes it, I gave her white american the other night and she spit it out... And she's only 9.5 months, I think it's a sign of things to come...

I think if you dont ask for yellow in NJ they give you white, but my deli here in NY doesnt even carry white!
