OK, this week thing is making me nuts!!!
I just called to make a Level II appointment, and was told that I am IN my 17th week.
I am due 11/25 and my little ticker says I am 17 weeks 4 days.......so wouldn't that mean I am in my 18th week?
I just can't stand the confusion!!!

That's what I said to her, I know that I am not 18 weeks yet, but I am IN my 18th week, no?
She said, you're 17 weeks, 4 days........ so don't those 4 days come from being IN my 18th week?
I just went on babycenter and that's they way they explain it too, so I'm sticking with it.....

This whole time I have been considering that my 17th week. Once it says 18, then its the 18th week but I can see your point. Maybe I have been wrong this whole time.

Same here. I am due 11-22. I went to the dr. yesterday and the nurse said I am 17 weeks and 6 days , tomorrow starts my 18th week.

but the calendar will tell you that you are in your 18th week....go to IVillage.com and do the pregnancy calendar and it will come up that you are in your 18th week of pregnancy...

I've given up trying to reason out any of the weeks/months things. My mom is so upset with all the pregnancy calendars that say that pregnancy is 10 months. Well, it is 40 weeks. I hit 20 weeks yesterday, and this week I will say I am 20 weeks pregnant and not think about what week I am in. As far as tests, a lot of them are not as time sensitive as we are made to believe but if I really feel that a person scheduling is doing it wrong I will call the doctor.

I am 19 weeks, 1 day (19 weeks was yesterday) and I am due 11/14. All the on-line calendars I use say that I am 19 weeks, not 20 weeks....

Thinking of this in simpler terms may help. Lets say someone is 1 week 4 days preggo (I know they would not even know it yet) Does that mean they are in there first week...no, not in my opinion they are in there second week finished with their first. Same goes for 17 weeks four days, you completed 17 weeks and are working to complete your 18th week.
