one ovary?
We have been trying since January-ish, and nothing yet. I have had 3 internal sonos and my gyno thinks I have 1 ovary...anyone else ever hear of that?

There are a few people on the boards that have had an ovary removed due to a medical condition, and I'm sure in life hundreds more. My friends are parents of a very happy healthy 7 year old and she has one ovary.

From what I understand, having one ovary does not diminish your fertility (assuming the ovary you have is functioning normally)!

I have heard of this. It is also common to have only one working ovary. I guess the other ovary is just there for show sometimes.

Thanks everyone! My doctor told me that the one I have left is just working twice as hard.. I was just a little disturbed by this information...
.oh and the 3 internal sonos that I had to have with people pushing down on my pelvis, and really jamming that thing up there looking for it....sorry tmi I know, but it was quite funny

Through my journey of infertility...I learned that I only had 1 ovary, 1 tube and 1 kidney. But...I now have a healthy beautiful DD who's 9 months old. Good luck

Due to an ectopic pregnancy, I have only one fallopian tube left. I should still be able to get pregant, but it will probably take me longer than it would take other ladies.
