Once again, so confused..what is my CD1?
For those of you playing along at home, it's been a VERY long weekend for me.
I spotted all day Saturday and Sunday - but on Sunday - it kept getting, well, redder & redder. NO other symptoms, no pain, nothing.
At 5:10 this morning - i woke up and WOWZA....full force AF, in TERRIBLE pain and didn't go back to sleep.
Here is where i need help - do i count TODAY as CD1 or yesterday?? I am discounting Saturday - because it was mostly brownish tinted spotting (with nothing coming out).
If I go with what TCOYF says: Day 1 of the cycle is the first day of red menstrual bleeding. If you have brown or light spotting in the day or two before the flow, it is usually considered part of the previous cycle.
Then day 1 would be yesterday or today???

I would count today as CD1. I've had a lot of spotting the past couple of cycles and I tend to think of CD1 as the first day I have no question that it's actually AF. Does that make any sense? If I'm floundering thinking is this spotting? or is this AF? It's probably not AF.

I would count today as CD1 since it's the first day she's here full-force. It sounds like according to TCOYF that if it was light yesterday (even if it was red) it was part of your previous cycle...that "reads" to me like you should start today. HTH!

If you had a full regular flow without any spotting yesterday, then that would be CD1. If it was only spotting, then I would count today as CD1

I think then i'll go with today as CD1 - because I didn't need a pad for either Saturday or Sunday (wore one, but nothing, not a drop came out).
