OMG wow...

TLC has this show on right now called "what kid ate what?" ... OMG... I'm actually in tears and shock with the things they are showing that happened to real parents before. It's sooo freaking frightening.....

Anyone ever watch this...? The one on now the Mom walked away to turn the stove off...and that's it....and her 7 month old ate a foam heart that her other childeren were using for arts and crafts... when brought to the hosptial it was too small to see on the xray... my goodness... being a new mom of a 3 week old...the real world really can be a scary place...

I had a student who used to chew pencils. Ok no biggie everyone does it. Until he developed a digestive issue where he was passing gas all the time - sounds funny - not so much. He swallowed the metal part that holds the eraser on to the wood and it got lodged in his esophagus. He needed an endoscopy and some other procedure. The gas stopped. I get very nervous about Abby swallowing things.

I'm gonna be soo freaked out once my little guy starting putting things in his mouth... and for the rest of his childhood...
I'm usually a laid back person... I think I'm rather laid back as a Mommy as well...but this show just showed me a whole new reality that really just freaked the he.. out of me!! wow

I am watching it - I was FREAKED out when I saw what that little girl went through and amazed that an Xray did not pick it up. I would never forgive myself if this happened. I am glad I watched it as my 7 month old is on my move and his 4 year old sister has mini stuff everywhere - gotta watch out like a hawk now.
