I can't justify keeping wedding cards (over 10 years old) and baby cards, but I also can't just toss them. But I don't look at them.

I do keep some - I have all my wedding cards, all the baby cards, every card my DH has ever given me, a few special cards from my parents, grandparents, etc. I love cards and I just keep them in a box - I imagine tossing them, they don't take up that much space!

Birthday cards get tossed. I kept my wedding and baby shower cards, DS's Baptism cards, any of the important events.

I have all my baptism cards (that my mom saved), shower cards, wedding gift cards...then every year I save some cards depending on who they're from and if it was a really sweet card. I'm very sentimental. I know a lot of people who don't keep them.

Re: Okay, last time...do you save or toss cards?

I am normally a tosser. But my mom recently gave me the cards she received when I was born/for my baptism and it was amazing. It was so nice to read the cards from my grandparents and relatives that have passed away. This has moved me towards being a saver-but just for the big events, not every birthday, etc.

Re: Okay, last time...do you save or toss cards?

DH always guilts me into keeping all cards I get, he keeps them & has a huge box full of them from throughout his life & I think it's a huge waste of space. How often do we look at them? Pretty much never. Although I saved a few that my dad gave me & now when I look at them I wish I saved all of the ones from him since he passed away & I miss him. So maybe I should keep them but I'm not usually that sentimental about cards. I still have all my weddings cards & I've been meaning to go through them & get rid of them, I just haven't yet. I wonder if DH will let me LOL.

I normally toss everything

I do have my shower, wedding and anniversary cards, but I re-read them every year the weekend if our anniversary.

I also saved dds cards from my shower/when she was born bc I figured I would do the same

Same with Xmas photo cards

All the cards are divided into groups and kept on binder rings, so they're super organized.

Toss. I have no room to store anything. And tbh, I would never sit down and start going back through cards ftom 10 years ago. I wouldn't even think to do that.

I saved anything from my grandma and most cards and notes that mean something to me. I have a terrible time throwing things out in general.

Basic holidays I throw out, If its pictures of my cousins kids I keep, like a poster said before I like to compare each year.

Ditto. I keep anniversary or birthday cards from DH or if something sentimental is written but otherwise they're garbage.

My mom did keep some cards from her baby shower when she was pg with me and some other sentimental ones and they're nice to read if I'm going through the boxes looking for something. But for the most part, it just takes up room.

Right now we are in the middle of moving so I am getting rid of a lot of things that we have not touched or looked at since we moved in 8 years ago.

I just pulled out our box of cards from our wedding/showers/each other etc. I don't want them any longer, but I will pull out all the ones from our parents, grandparents, siblings and one another. I will save all the kids 1st 'whatevers' and toss everything else.

Just the very sentimental ones from DH, I think I also have a card or two from my mom saved. Oh and a really nice card that my BFF wrote me just before my wedding (she was my MOH). Other than that the only thing I keep are the photo christmas cards from family & close friends. But a photo christmas card from a former co worker I haven't seen or spoken to in 5 years? It gets tossed when the decorations come down.
