does everyone save cards?
ok - space is an issue for me and clutter gives me anxiety... am i horrible for not saving all the "congrats on your baby girl" cards that DD has received? We have a spare room that has become storage for her things and its full already.
i received a couple of scrapbook/albums that i still have not even looked at between work, taking care of her, planning her baptism etc... - i just have not had the time to organize/concentrate on this. I feel guilty

only ones were people really wrote something in them.
oh yeah, and the ones from his little female friend...if they marry one day, it would be super cute to still have it!

Re: does everyone save cards?
I myself who is not computer savvy have not done this - but I read somewhere that a lot of people take their childrens artwork and scan it on the computer- Dont see why you couldnt do this with cards as well ...Costco also sells this new "receipt" organizer with a similar principal- It scans those in also !...Technology!

I was totally thinking of doing this with their cards - and saving them all on a CD, except I'd probably lose or break it.
I only saved cards from their 1st birthday, Christening, Christmas and birth - from family and from DH and I.

Re: does everyone save cards?
I try and save somethings, but i also hate clutter. My mother saved some things for me, and i look at them and say ok now what. i dont have space for it.
I dont know how my dd will be in the future. My sis loves all that stuff from when she was younger. so i try and save stuff for my DD just in case shes more like my sis, than me.

Re: does everyone save cards?
I've saved all the cards for holidays and the baby shower and when from when she was born. I don't know how long I'll keep it up. Maybe I'll make a scrap book out of it. For now, I bought a personalized trunk that I keep them in along with all her first holiday outfits and her coming home outfit.

Re: does everyone save cards?
sorry to crash but my mom saved ALL the cards she got when i was born - i loved looking through them! i plan on doing the same for my kids. she has them in a box with my baby stuff... doesn't seem like it takes up that much room. but then, i'm sentimental that way.

I threw mine all out, except for the ones from his grandparents and aunts (my parents, ILs and our siblings). I put them in in his baby book.

Neither am I. Good thing because I don't even have any room to store a sheet of paper.

Re: does everyone save cards?
I saved the cards he received when he was first born and I am saving all the "1st" cards he received for the holidays. I stick them in a ziplock bag and put them in hi a keepsake box that I now have under his crib. I never thought I would use the keepsake box but it really is coming in handy. I just stick things in it I want to keep for him. I actually went out and bought another one.

I feel bad getting rid of them too but it is crazy all the cards I have. I finally threw out my bridal shower cards but kept my wedding cards. I have all his cards in a ziploc bag but know eventually I will throw them out. How many times am I really going to look at them, ya know?
