Ok, I just finished watching it now (I dvr-ed it because I cannot take the suspense of commercials ). I guess that Widmore owned the island? I'm sure they had some agreement not to hurt each other's daughters or somethign like that. Kiss that bye-bye now.

ITA. Right before bed, I said to DH "they had 8 weeks off and came up with THIS?"
1. Too much gunfire/bodies (not very lost like)
2. Too sci-fi-y (Ben landing in the desert randomly, the black smoke)
3. Too coincidental (how many people know morse code off the top of their head?)
4. The beach storyline was stupid
5. I thought it was predictable that they'd kill Alex and that Claire obviously wouldnt be dead.
6. The Widmore storyline is weird and uninteresting.

Obviously, you guys are "LOST"
1. Lost is all about guns because guns = power. Remember way back when the Tail grew found the gun cache and Sawyer kept them all for him self...
2. Ben time traveled to the future to alter the path. Im still trying to put that together but the Black Smoke = Time/Course correction. When a person is not needed or shouldn't be on the island, The Black Smoke takes them away.
3. He may of been in the Mariens -etc.? I believe it was his idea (Bernice - i forget his name). Yes, most people right it down as the message comes acrouse but for TV, i guess he knows everything ;)
4. I agree..not much going on down there as they are waiting to be rescused. Jack in the preview appears to get very ill and hes upset because he is suppose to Lead but does a crappy job. Remember, on the boat, they are in a different time time so the Dr. could be alive and well "for now" on the boat but the island already knows how hes gonna die.
5. Yes to Alex, suspense = is this where Claire dies...we know she doesn't make off the island
6. Last night EP states that Widmore had the island first which is the reason he is trying to get it back. Ben can't kill Widmore because that would serverly affect Bens life...
It was also clear on breaking the rules was about messing with family...
I thought last night was great...welcome back lost..

Sayid 'lost' Nadia back in Iraq before he the flight crashed on the island.. they were not married..
I think once he came back from the island (since he is one of the Oceanic 6) that he found Nadia and finally married her..
but that very shortly aftwards, she was killed..
Hence his reason for revenge, killing her killer and wanting to work with Ben. he feels he has nothing left , so he's going to take everyone down..

I think its a little bit of both really!
they are bringing up the time travel thing bigtime, they still have the supernatural thrown in (Jacob) ... it all tends to confuse me.. but yes are also throwing in a lot of conspiracy and other facets, such as the Widmore stuff..
I can't believe how big the character of BEN has really become on this show, I never would have thought when he was first introduced that he'd turn out to be this crucial to the entire thing...

Personally, I think Ben killed Nadia to set in motion these exact chain of events. Did you see that smile when Sayid agreed to work with him.

I thought last night's episode was cool!
Ben was time traveling to the desert thats why he was shaking at the beginning when he was on the floor.
There was something weird in last night episodes the flash forwards included Sayid but they didn't show him on the island either with Locke or Jack's group.
The comment about he changed the rules made me think this is all a game now? I knew Ben was bluffing but I didnt think they would kill his daughter. And what about Desmond, Widmore hates him is that why he put him on the island.
