i think its the mob mentality of the boards sometimes....one person disagrees and then someone else does too and then people just chime in their 2 cents....
I totally agree with the mob mentality thing (some people don't like that phrase) but it is true. You offend one person and then everyone jumps on the bandwagon.

I have no idea what post you are talking about. I rarely go on LIW. But I don't think anyone should be called names on this site. As I said, people have different sensitivities and we should all try to be tolerant of that. You have every right to your opinion and it should be respected. It doesn't have to be agreed with- but it should be respected.

i don't think its a matter of ok for one and not another.....i think its more how the boards are flowing that day, for lack of a better word. and think about who you are referring to, that girl is just a pain and is not worth the energy

AHH OK -- I got it now. As Don said, there are just some people that get unfortunate "reputations" around here and sometimes all it takes is one incident or thread to "label' you .. unnecessarily so.
And I think I was probably the most ADAMANT poster on Xelindray's thread .. I really let her have it, because I WAS offended. Yet noone ever FMd me to say I was horrible to lash out. IN fact, when I made my first post, a lot of the LIWs girls told me by FM "they were glad I said something" ... and it was only THEN they started posting in agreement. NOW THAT I think is weird.. dont wait for someone else to post what you are feeling, and then just jump on the bandwagon... have pride in your convicitons and enough b@lls to say it yourself (I am not referring to anyone specifically mind you.. just an example)

You got FM's as to the issue?? I think that when something like that happens then the parties involved should address the problem. For expample...I called skew on something and we both got heated. I fm'd her and told her we were both entitled to our opinions, but no harsh feelings. End of story. This is a chat site I enjoy..but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. IMO

While I DO agree somewhat with the phrase "mob mentality" as a part of these boards... I certainly dont think that applies in all situuations.
There are friends amongst posters on this board... and its human nature that you'll want to "stick up for" your friends if you see them getting beaten down (esp. if its unwarranted or lopsided or personal)
BUT speaking personally.. my friends on this board also don't need me defending them/speaking for them or "backing them up" when they are debating sometehing either. If I choose to defend a friend or "jump on the bandwagon" (if that's what you want to call it) its ONLY because I wholeheartedly agree with what my friend is saying, and disagree wholeheartedly with what the other party involved

Lee....those people who send FMs like that are just nosey bodies who THINK they know what they are talking about BUT DO NOT.
WHY you pay them any mind is beyond me...
BUT if you wanted to explain that is up to you. BUT what i have seen is that people naturally ASSUME things....They really do not see what is small drama or what one person is saying to another .....IN ITS ENTIRETY....
They assume one person is "picking"on another....YET NOT KNOW everything....
that is THEIR PROBLEM...And you owe nobody an explanation
