Ok just a thought
there was a religous thread on LIW not to long ago that seemed to offend a lot of people and ...people jumped all over this person as far as their point of view ....SO why is ok to jump on one person and not another WHAT MAKES the determination????

Ok so people got mad at me because I don't agree with what someone was saying because it was few who were offended however when it became a more popular subject it was ok (IE RELIGON) so I just was wondering WHO determines THE OK and NOT OK ???

I guess it depends on who is on, and what is said. There isn't any power that be that decides when something is offensive and when its not. ETA: Some people are more sensitive than others.

Not if you are accurate in saying that someone has no basis. But that's kind of hard to say to someone and be right about if you don't know them...and if it's their opinion, then it's just that -- an opinion. And an opinion doesn't have to have a basis!

Your right I get offended over certain things (sensitive) but if i want to defend myself with out calling names that labels me a trouble maker ...because I am not inthe norm?

You have to remember too because of the "faceless" quotient of an online chat board I think people have much stronger opinions than they would in real life. So maybe you're picking up on that

I think we're all entitled to defend ourselves or our point of view, but it's a thin line between getting offended by what soemeone said and when not to be offended. It's based on the individual IMO.

people on here like to cause drama and argue and nit pick over everything some pple say just cause its entertaining to them... this is a website not real life... any one who causes drama for entertainment purposes are loooosseersss dont stress the small stuff
