Re: Oh Boy
I'll let you know. According to Caremark it was 20 vials and each one cost close to $90 retail.
The whole shabang cost about $3K for this cycle.

Re: Oh Boy
What meds do you have? They told me not to refridgerate the menopur. I don't think any of mine got put in the fridge actually... When I used gonal-f (in pen form) that was put in the fridge, and when I used lupron that was to be left at room temp. Are their instructions w/ it?
ETA: I see you don't get them til tomorrow so you won't know about the instructions yet.

Re: Oh Boy
I get it all tomorrow so I'm sure I'll have 'structions.
My cousin had the pen in the fridge from what I remember.
Ganirelex, Gonal-F, Menopur and something else I can't remember.

Re: Oh Boy
Ok, to my knowledge menopur and ganirelix stay out at room temp. Gonal-f if it's in vial form I have no clue- if it's in pen form I've always been told to put it in the fridge.
BTW I'm SO excited that you're finally getting to start!!!!
for you!!!!

Re: Oh Boy
I kept Menopur (powdered form) in the fridge (instructions said 37-77 degrees) and my Ganirelex out. I think the menopur can go either way but once refrigerated, it has to stay that way (or so I was told by the nurse...)

Still a few weeks away but I don't wanted to have the stuff in house already. Due to start patches around Jan 24.

Re: Oh Boy
I put my Gonal-F in the fridge... my doctor says it lasts up until the expiration date that way - otherwise it only lasts about 1 month.

I should be starting the patches right around the same time. I will know more tomorrow...but I think we will be cycling together.

I see Dr. Chung. I'll be there tomorrow morning at 7:45! He is monitoring me to see when I ovulate so he knows when to start me on the patches.
