Officially Released from RE!
Definately one of those bittersweet moments when I walked out of the RE's office yesterday. I have grown such a relationship with the staff, it is hard to know I won't see them until our bean is 6 months old....
Anyway, our baby is measuring right on par, 8w4d. My RE is going to call my OB directly though to give her a heads up bc there are two looming issues (nothing serious) though & he wants them to know.
1) the smaller sac that we once thought would be a twin is still present with something in there but no fetal pole or HB. My RE said it is not viable & will eventually disappear. The sac has not grown in size at all.
2) After looking in the sac with the baby (baby looks fantastic, double in size & heart beating away), he can see what looks to be 2 halo-like circles (seen only when NOT on the baby). One is small & dark & the other is lighter. He feels it was an identical twin that never amounted to anything. He said it is not effecting the baby but he wants it monitored but he was confident in releasing me. Anyone have this?
So I go to my OB on Friday & hopefully I can get more information & be more at ease!

Congrats and I totally know the bittersweet feeling. I felt very spoiled by my RE's office and going to an OB afterwards is a bit of culture shock. Best of luck!
