Office Bathroom Issues

Ok...I need some input. There is a new guy working at my office. He's nice and all but every time he uses the bathroom he leaves the seat up. Chat Icon That $h!T makes me soooo ANGRY!!!! I'm the manager where I am and everyone is telling me I should say something. That is such a touchy/nasty/annoying subject. What should I say...I'm scared!! Chat Icon H.E.L.P!!

I agree with Don 100%, I think to confront him on something like that is really wrong.. I used to work with men all the time and I had to always put the seat down, its just something u deal with...

if anything put a sign on the back of the door. stating it nicely but i certainly dont think u should 'say" something to him about it

that's what I was wondering. it's nasty to touch (I use tissues here of course) but why should preference be given to one gender?

I really don't want to confront him...that's such a stuid issue to deal with. It really bothers me...I think it's gross & don't want to be touching the seat every time I have to go. I think a sign is a good idea.

Just do what I always do.... and raise and lower the seat using your foot. Then you never have to touch it.

Ive become a pro... don't think I have ever touched a toilet seat in two years.

No problem. It doesn't quite work as well if you are wearing a sandal or an open-toed shoe. But with sneakers it works GREAT! Chat Icon

I worked with a guy who's "aim" was terrible!!! Needless to say the co-ed bathroom was a mess. I put a sign on the back of the door and on the wall above the toilet saying that this is a shared facility, so please be considerate of you co-workers.

Good luck!!!!Chat Icon

You girls think aiming is easy for guys.

Yeah you can aim your shot... but you never know how much "pressure" you will have.

Example.... high pressure = aim low (like a line drive)

low pressure = aim high (like a high fly ball)

And just like the outfielders do... you have to adjust your stance once you realize what you are dealing with. Chat Icon

I am sure Don and all the other guys will agree/relate.

exactly, when you first start you tend to misfire and you have to adjust accordingly

try doing that in the middle of the night

this may just be me, but I don't use the seat in public/office bathrooms anyway. It doesn't matter to me, cause I'm just squatting. ;)
