Any recommendations of OBGYNs in Nassau? Preferably female, but not mandatory. TIA!

I use Dr Lauren Bashian @ LIWHC in Bellmore. She delivers @ LIJ and is really sweet.

Re: OBGYNs

I will be seeing Dr. Jennifer Hanauer in Garden City. I have not met her yet but I have heard many good reviews about her. She is affiliated with Winthrop.
The only bad thing is that my appointment is at the end of Feb. because she is very booked.

Re: OBGYNs

Not female, but I love mine. Dr. Lewis Rosenberg in Levittown. He is a really nice older man. The one thing I like about him is that he always meets with you in his office after your appt. to talk about any issues/concerns. I had surgery last week and he did it, and he made me feel really calm. I think he delivers at St. Joes or LIJ.

How is the office and wait time? I heard good things about him too and may switch.

The waits are about 10 mins. on average. The office ladies are really nice (which is rare! Dr. office ladies are usually so mean!). The sono-tech is very friendly also. I also like that he is the director of the OB-GYN dept. at St. Joes, so he knows everyone there. When I needed surgery, he called and scheduled it for two days later and the RN and anesthesiologist all knew him well.

Once I am preggo I am considered high risk. We already have a plan for me to be on lovenox(since I have clotting issues and a fetal demise). The wait is not bad last time I waited about 7 minutes. She is thorough and takes the time to get to know you. All testing is done in office with the exception of level 2 sonogram which is done at LIJ.

Re: OBGYNs

I go to Marti Gilbert (female) at North Shore OBGYN Associates, it's Victor Klein's practice so they handle high risk as well as typical pregnancies (I will also be high risk). When you get pregnant you see each doctor (there are 3 female and 2 male) so that you know them all, but you do have your 'main' doctor. I love the practice and love Dr. Gilbert.

I see Dr. Jennifer Hanauer in Garden City. I have been going to her for about 10 years. I even followed her from her previous practice in Bethpage. She is very nice, caring, and will take as much time as you need to answer your questions. Since she takes her time with each patient there is always a wait. I don't mind waiting since she is so great. It also takes a while to get an appointment with her. I usually call 2 months ahead of time. If she is booked I see the nurse practitioner, Kerry I think, who is also very nice.

Dr Eysler! He's amazing and high risk! There's also a femal midwife, I never see her because I have c-sections, the wait is bad on Wednesday because that's his late day, he's there until like 9, if not later. I am a very anxious person and he just has amazing bedside manner, totally puts me at ease. He delivers at north shore plainview and I think
Winthrop. I highly recommend him. His staff is also amazing!! I am currently 15 wks pregnant and the sono
Tech there is doing a sono next week to look for
Gender, no cost or submitting to insurance. . They are very easy going, the receptionist knows
Everyone's name. There are not enough words to say how amazing I think he is!!
