Oy, not cool. I don't want to comment too much because I'm not Catholic and I don't want to judge other faiths. However, I can speak from Judaism and it's totally the opposite. In the most religious communities, people have 8 - 10 kids. They get married starting at 18 and if you don't get pregnant after a year or two, you are encouraged to seek infertility treatments from a doctor. There is even a non-profit organization I am in contact with that offers money to Jewish couples who can't afford infertility treatments. They get you in touch with doctors, etc. The only religious requirement is you have to believe in the divinity of g-d. It's a different kind of religion I guess. Priests are mandated to not have children and be married to g-d, whereas in Judaism if you are a rabbi you're expected to have a lot of kids. Rabbi's who are not married and have no kids are looked upon with suspicion. I guess the religion is what it is and you have to pick and choose how faithful you will be to the guidelines.
