Nursery school program for 18 mo. +
I taught 3 yr. old pre-school several yrs. ago and the pre-school I worked at had a munchkin program for kids 18 mo. to about 28 mo. They did dancing, singing, arts and crafts, read stories, played, circle time, etc. I cannot find anything like that in my area. I live in Merrick BTW. The program was 2 days a week for 2 hours w/out the parents. Is there anything like that in Nassau?

Most of the ones I checked in the area started around 2.5.
The one Sarah goes to and Andy will go to in Sept starts at 2. They don't have to be potty trained but if they have a dirty diaper they call you to come change it.

Some nursery schools in the Merrick/Bellmore/Wantagh area that I know take 2 year olds:
Merrick Woods Country Day School on Merrick Ave.
Twin Oaks Country Day School on Babylon Turnpike
South Shore Country Day School on Newbridge Rd.
A friend of mine lives in Bellmore and these are some of the places I remember her talking about when she was looking for places when her DS was turning 2. They eventually decided to go with Merrick Woods, and they are very happy there.

We are going to mommy and me at Temple Emmanuel in Lynbrook in september. Thats actually where my mother sent me.

Try Just Wee Two... They have programs starting at 14 months--- One is in Manhasset and the other is in Plainview....
Lots of friends have done it and loved it... I didn't do it with my DH however I plan to with my second..
