NTTCR Topic 9/23

Tell me one of your favorite Children's Songs/Nursery Rhymes.

Mine is (and please, you have to do the hand motions along with it!):

Little Bunny Foo Foo
hoppin' through the forest,
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And down came the Blue Fairy, and she said:

Little Bunny FooFoo
I don't want to see you
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And now I'll give you three chances,
and if you keep it up, I'll turn you into a goon.

Little Bunny Foo Foo
kept hoppin' through the forest,
kept scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And down came the Blue Fairy, and she said:

Little Bunny FooFoo
I don't want to see you
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And now I'll give you two more chances,
and if you do that again, I'll turn you into a goon.

this is more a book - but Goodnight Moon. They use it in one of my fave all time movies - If Lucy Fell..

"Goodnight room. Goodnight moon. Goodnight cow jumping over the moon. Goodnight light, and the red balloon..."

It's not really a nursery rhyme, but I just LOVED the record (well, it was a record when I was a kid)... "Free to be You and Me"

Little bunny foo foo...

I sing that sometimes & bop random family members on the head!!

My fave is Little Miss Muffet - I played her in the kindergarten play & it "stuck"

okay....admit it...yes it's NTTCR but yet...here you are posting children's rhymes! You're looking into cutesy little baby things aren't you?

I do TOO many of these damn rhymes/songs, ad nauseum, every day with my 1st and 2nd graders. Do I have to contribute?

I used to love when my mom sang to me "You are My Sunshine." I can't wait to do it myself!!
