NPR: THE SELLER ACCEPTED OUR OFFER!!! (**now with pics)
On a whim last weekend, we went to a few Open Houses since we'd been talking about starting to look for a home and we absolutely fell in love with one of them. We were surprised!! It was just everything we wanted, including the location, the size, the yard, etc., and some things we didn't even know we wanted, like a partially screened-in deck and a first floor master bedroom.
A friend who's a realtor insisted we look at some other properties and compare, so we did this week and yesterday went to four more. At the end, we went back to the one we love (our third time there in a week) and were more convinced than ever.
So we put an offer down on paper, wrote a check for the earnest money, and waited. They had until 5 pm today to let us know if they accepted.
AND THEY ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!! This is our first home for both of us and we are thrilled beyond belief! Since I'm just over 12 weeks now, this gives us plenty of time to work out the details, close, move-in, and get comfortable before our LO arrives! We even picked which room is for the baby already.
I'm just so excited and thrilled, I had to share!!!!!!!!!! I feel so incredibly blessed! Thanks for listening!!

That's great! How exciting! We can't wait to buy a house..but we have a studio apt we have to sell first! YIKES we have 8 months to do both!

The house is in Cary, North Carolina -- I moved down here into DH's apartment when we got married last year.
I actually was reading the post on the best high schools in America the other day -- and the h.s. it feeds to was ranked #258 on the list! (Ok, it's not my h.s. in NY which was #74 this year, but still... for NC I'm very excited!)

Seriously, I want half her furniture too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially that gorgeous breakfront in the living room. That piece is amazing!!!
I cannot wait for us to get a king size bedroom set. DH likes to sleep diagonally and I can't stop tossing and turning these days, so a huge bed will be wonderful. He promised when we got a house, we could!

Too funny!!! I actually met a woman at Walmart in Holly Springs a few weeks ago to buy a whole lot of maternity clothes from her. It's really pretty there! (I totally got stuck on the 55 bypass and was surprised how far it took me so quickly!)
We were looking in Cary and Apex but DH works in RTP so the commute will be great!
It makes me happy to see so many LIFers down here. I don't feel like such an outsider!

Haha, that's funny! I actually never go on 55 because of the traffic.
We really like Holly Springs....it's a little more like small town living. When we first moved here, we lived in Brier Creek and it was so crowded, it felt like we never left LI!
My DH works in RTP, also...so it is a little bit of a commute. But, I work in Chapel Hill, so I have him beat! 
There are a lot of LIF'ers around here...we may have to set up a gtg soon!
