Now, onto boy names (long)
Originally, DH was adamant that if we have , he must be named after DH. That would make a IV. I'm Jewish, but DH isn't. Normally, we don't name children after the living. I wasn't happy about a IV, but was willing to compromise as long as we found a nickname we both liked.
Now, DH is considering not having a IV. However, we cannot agree on names at all. I'd like to use "E" or "T" names to honor my great-grandparents.
I love Elijah (DH hates it) and like Ethan (DH hates it too). I like Evan, but one of DH's close friends is named Evan. I don't think there are any "T" names we found that we both like.
I prefer trendier names. I don't even know how to describe DH's name style.
Does anyone have any "E" or "T" suggestions? Another option is to use the nickname that we both liked if we have a IV as the first name (Finn). I'm sure my family will say something about not naming after one of my relatives, but right now it's the only name we both like.

Re: Now, onto boy names (long)
We are using Ethan. It is not after anyone but it was the only boys name we agreed upon. The middle name is Michael after my father. I also like Eli.
For a T name I wanted Ty and my dh vetoed it.

Re: Now, onto boy names (long)
Oooh I love Finn (DH nixed it, along with everything else )
Here are some names that we've talked about that DH has also squashed. We tend to like different names though, so I'm not sure if people think I'm crazy.
Easton Elliot Emmet (this is my cousin's name)
Tanner Turner Teagan

I don't think you're crazy. I like Easton, Tanner and Teagan. One of DH's co-workers has a son named Tanner. DH hates Teagan and virtually all of the names I like.
I'm kind of leaning towards Finn right now. At least I know we can find a girl's name that we both like. Choosing names sucks.

It sure does! We are happy it is a boy because when we have a girl she won't have a name for months because we can't agree. We have two boy names that we are happy with and will probably decide on one of them when he gets here!
I always knew it was going to be hard with my DH but I never expected him to nix every suggestion before it was out of my mouth

Re: Now, onto boy names (long)
I love the name Finn. I didn't even suggest it to DH as he would have promptly poo-pooed it as he does every other name I love!
I also love Elijah by the way.
Here are some more E- names:
Easton, Emerson, Emery, Ernest (which I also really like,) Eric, Evan, Ezra (The bot E names are pretty scarce...)
T-names:
Taylor, Tate, Tobias, Tristan, Tyler, Tyson
Hope it works out for you!

Re: Now, onto boy names (long)
Good Luck, I sent DH a list of both boy and girl names. He nipped them all in the bud. HATED them all I should say. Asked me what I was smoking, said some were to "hillbilly-ish" to ethnic was another and a bit to Italian for his liking. Looks like Baby Z is going to be baby Z.
Oh and love Ethan and Tristan.

I don't really remember the names he suggested when we looked through the baby name books. I just remember that the names were awful. We have very different tastes.
