Not that I'm expecting it...
but it would be nice if my MIL offered. I am 31.5 weeks PG and she hasn't asked if there's anything we need for the baby? Like I said, I'm not expecting anything, but it would be nice if she at least offered. With Caiden, before she started hating me, she went out and bought 9 boxes of diapers, on a couple of trips up to MD we both went out to buy a bunch of baby stuff, etc. and now with this baby, nothing!!! It's a little upsetting as if this baby doesn't count. Oh well, I guess there's nothing I can do about it. I know I've posted about her before, but this was the most recent complaint! I just needed to vent!

honestly, sometimes people don't realize - my mom still talks about how with me, everyone went all out and then 14 months later when my sister came along they didn't - and only later realized it since we were so close in age...kinda like they assumed they got stuff but didn't! it stinks that your mil hasn't been there to be excited....try and focus on the wonderful family you and dh are building and don't let her get you down!

It seems some people are just so preoccupied with themselves nowadays. I just posted the other day about my MIL not offering to ever help with any of the shower planning (bridal or baby) - my DH had to actually ask her before she offered.

I completely understand what yo are going through. My MIL doesn't even call to see how I am doing. Some people just don't realize how important just asking is to others. Hang in there!

I think your biggest mistake is saying that "you dont expect it"... i think you should expect it. Its her grandchild and I think she should call and assist you with whatever needs you may have. The same way that when she grows old and needs your assistance you would help her. I think families should ALWAYS help.

don't feel so bad. MY MIL didn't do anything for Ryan and she won't do anything for this baby. I'm kinda use to it.
