Not temping or using anything else

I don't temp or use the O predictor kit. I just around the week I'm due to O. I did just start trying and it worked for me the first time.

Anyone else not use anything to see when they O and just BD around the time?
It's just my own thing, but I don't want to drive myself nuts with the temping and more peeing on a stick.

ME! I havent used and OPK or temped YET. The first time it only took 2 months of trying around the right time. Unfortuantely it ended in m/c. So we're on to TTC again. it's been 3 cycles (going onto 4th if I dont get a BFP this week). I may start using OPKs next month because I am getting impatient.

I totally understand. I had a chemical MC over the summer and we figured we'd wait b/c we were looking to move. Now we're starting since we're in the new house and pretty much settled. Last time I was just charting and got lucky to get pregnant so hoping it'll work out again.

for the 1st 3 months we are just going to be VERY laid back about it. The only thing I am doing is following my cycle on a calendar. After 3 months than I will start w/the O predictor and temping. I really hope I dont have to go that far.....I just want to relax & enjoy the journey!!!

First time...no problem! 2 weeks into my marriage! That ended in a miscarriage and my body is still bouncing back so now I started temping to see if I am even ovulating yet. Good Luck! I think it is more fun and easier to just wing it!

I went into it winging it. We never temped or used OPK's. On the 2nd month I got my BFP!

I am going off BCP in November. The only thing I'm going to do is OPK.

I debated not using OPK's but I caved. I don't temp or do anything else and I take the OPK's with a grain of salt and just BD a bunch around the time I think I'll O.

i started by just winging it but bc my cycles are a little longer and irregular since stopping bcp i wanted to start using opks to get a better idea of whether or not i ovulated.

i will continue using the opks but won't start temping for a few more months if no bfp

i feel the same.

this was my first month off bcps and we just winged it. i am actually hoping i get AF this week b/c i am due for it in a few days. if AF comes at least i know i menstruated which is a good sign for TTC next month. my biggest worry was going back to normal after being on bcps for so long. i will be honest and say that it did stress me out especially last week. this month was hard for me b/c i felt like i was waiting for 2 things to happen - either a bfp or AF and it felt like neither of them was going to happen. i feel like AF is on her way any day now (and should be right on time) so i am feeling a lot less stressed out.

i plan on tracking AF on the calendar and will use that to see what should be my fertile week. other than that we're just going to stick to our normal routine just without protection.

my mom told me just to wing it - she said that is what she did and both times she got pregnant within a few months just like she wanted. i thought that was great advice.

i didnt use anything for the first 3 cycles. but i just started using OPK's for this cycle just to make sure i'm ovulating.

We're just kind of winging it.
I'm just taking notice of my CM since my cycles are a little bit irregular since coming off BCP.

And I agree with you...I don't want to drive myself crazy at first.

I haven't used anything either. Just winging it. I started 2 months ago and I know I missed my O last month...I should O the last week in October so hopefully our schedules will work and we can BD

we're just winging it too! for literally the past year i've been obsessing about opk's and temping (got preggo twice but lost the babies both times) so now we are "taking the pressure off ourselves" and just around the time i THINK i ovulate. we're on month #2 so we'll see how it goes!

I actually did the opposite. I temped and used OPKs before we were actually trying and the first 2 months. Once I saw an established pattern for 3 months, I stopped temping, I'm still addicted to OPKs. For me, it's best to before I get my b/c according to temping, I was Oing the same day I got my . Now that I know that we can earlier in the month more.

I feel the same way. I dont want to make myself crazy and I know I will if I do that. We are just slowly getting into this process now, but I know when I O (CM, O pains, regular cycle), so I think for now we will just focus on that. In the future, maybe I'll temp, but this way is better for me.

we are going to start off like this and just calendar my cycles. if that doesnt work, what is the next step? temping or opks or both?

hey erica!!! so excited to be over here with you again, were doing the lets see what happens holding off on the opks for a few months. we got preggo with abby first try. we tried in aug and nothing. im off bcp for the month of oct and will start trying in nov. going to give it 2 or 3 cycles then if not pregnant ill try the opks.
