Northfork Wineries/Restaurants Recs
My bf and I are stayed at Jedediah Hawkins Inn on a Sunday in April.
Which winery tour is worth it? Any wineries that I can't miss? Any I should avoid?
How about restaurant? I'm thinking Love Lane Kitchen for lunch but what about dinner?

I wouldn't do a tour. I would go to Mattituck Cheese shop and get some gourmet cheese and bread to bring along with you. I would do a picnic lunch. My favorite wineries are Macari(we are members there), Sherwood House and Laurel Lake. Avoid Pindar and Duck Walk (too commercial, wines aren't great).

Laurel Lake is beautiful, and make sure you eat at Jedediah! I'm jealous-we're going back for our anniversary in August (we got married there)
It's also fun to kayak out there
Love Lane gets *really* crowded, and it's just ok to me..

Great, thanks for suggestions! I know to skip Duck Walk, there is one in the Hamptons and I made the mistake of going once.
K---I'm excited to go, you had gorgeous pics! My bf has no idea what he is in for

Pugliese Vineyards is really nice, they have an outdoor area that has tables and there is a little pond. Lenz also has a nice outdoor area too. DH and I both like the wines from these two wineries.

if you like champagne go to Sparkling Pointe it rocks. I also like Vineyard 48, it is sort of like a club so when my girls and I go we go there last and dance, maybe not the most romantic one though lol

Re: Northfork Wineries/Restaurants Recs
We went last April and stayed at the Shinn Estates B&B. They have a great winery there, so definitely check that place out.
I'd also recommend McCall, Mattebella, Winemaker's Studio (not a vineyard, but a great place which sells special blends from a variety of area winemakers), Lenz and Lieb. Those were our favorites.
As for eating, definitely agree with Love Lane Cafe for lunch and North Fork Table for dinner. We also found other great dinner spots in Greenport.
Be sure to stop at Briermere Farms on the way home. Their apple pie is ridiculously delicious.

In addition to the vineyards mentioned, we always really like Pellegrini too and you can definitely bring outside food there.

Re: Northfork Wineries/Restaurants Recs
my favorite place to eat out there is Love Lane Kitchen.
There are also some good places in Greenport. In addition to visitng vineyards, you can checkout the brewery in greenport. There is also a newish olive oil store in greenport, which is fun. You can taste a bunch of olive oils. For lunch we love going to the Cheese Emporium. They have good sandwhiches.
The cheese shop in mattituck is also good for lunch, they do a great fondue! Limited seating though.
My personal favorite vineyards are: Shinn Sherwood House Jasons Vineyard Bella Vite (its a small tasting room and they have wine from 2 or 3 places)

Re: Northfork Wineries/Restaurants Recs
DH and I love Raphael and Peconic Bay. Peconic Bay is a beautiful place to sit outdoors.
We usually avoid Duck Walk, Martha Clara, and Pindar because they are very touristy; however, DH does really love many of the Duck Walk wines, so we will go there from time to time.
I'd highly recommend Luce & Hawkins for dinner, and we love Bonnie Jean's for lunch. For a more casual type meal at dinner, Cliff's Elbow Room was pretty good.
We tried North Fork Table & Inn for dinner once and were rather unimpressed. We both felt it was highly overrated, and our friends felt the same.

Re: Northfork Wineries/Restaurants Recs
I live in Aquebogue so right in the heart of all east end goodness. for lunch we loveeee Love Lane Kitchen it's so yummy and great. for dinner I would suggest CowFish in hampton bays (about 20 min away same distance as Greenport-right on the Shinecock Canal). We also love these places: Grana in Jamesport is great for gourmet pizza and wine and within walking distance of Jedediah! Frisky Oyster in Greenport Legends in New Suffolk Amano in Mattituck Riverhead Project in Riverhead Touch of Venice in Cutchogue
We also like going to the cheese shoppe on love lane and getting cheese and crackers to bring to the winery
As far as winery's we really like: Sherwood Waters Crest Clovis Point Macari Peconic bay Lenz (always is and always will be my favorite. I buy it buy the case)
And of course Briemers is a must
Watch yourselves driving the East End task force has been out again lately.
Any questions feel free to message me I'm a wealth of east end knowledge :)

I love bedell vineyards. For dinner I would do Legends or Touch of Venice if you don't want to do North Fork Inn (it's really pricey)

Re: Northfork Wineries/Restaurants Recs
Thanks ladies!
Ends up we have a free chef's table dinner at Jedediah Hawkins (I bought a Bloomspot and cancelled my original reservation)---is it okay to eat there for dinner or is it not worth it? it is free!
