I’m not following anything with this snow/maybe snow. I’m going the “if I don’t hear or read about it, maybe it won’t happen” route 
I just keep thinking. Gotta get to April and we’ll be on our way to brighter / warmer days !

I still want to know what jobs have snow days when it snows. (I mean other than teachers/schools that close obviously)
My company will NEVER close.
I work for a University. I'm not an educator, but if the University is closed, we are all off.

Worst freaking winter EVER. Mid-January and NO snow. It's been cold enough, WTF?? lolol I want some flakes, I need a good blizzard or two at least! I suffered through torturous summer heat, I want my winter and snow!

My DH keeps saying that every day without snow is one day closer to spring and a snow free winter.
Just one day closer.
We are getting there....

I'm actually just keeping plans as usual and then we'll see what happens. They can't predict anything.
We don't have anything crazy planned this weekend. Dinner with friends, date night and maybe go into the city... again, depending on weather.
No school Monday.

Mine doesn't close either. We have to use our own time if we don't come in during a storm. I'm actually glad we are off Monday so I won't have to use a day to stay home bc school is closed.
I'm not even off on Monday.
Or on President's Day.
Or any holiday until Memorial Day.
Good. Freaking. Times this place...
This! Plus, I'm having a baby in April so I REALLY cant afford to use my days since my job doesnt have any paid maternity, just our time and the state stuff.

I follow Islandwide Weather on Facebook and really like them- they are a no hype, no bullsh!t page. Right now it seems like we're going to wake up tomorrow to a dusting of snow then changing over to rain to wash it away. They are still up in the air about the weekend storm though they said they should have more info today.

ETA: It better not frickin snow a lot this weekend- I have plans, plus I'm already off Monday and Tuesday! If it's going to snow, I at LEAST deserve a snow day! 
I follow them too and find them to be pretty accurate.

Same... no holidays. We don't even get paid for holiday time off, so if you're not clocked in working you're not getting paid.
Also in the capital region and expecting to get lots of snow. So I'll be working from home.

I feel like a lot of office jobs close less often now, becuse people can work form hoem, so they don't technically get the day off. That's what I do. If traisn are ok, i can go in, but I hate to walk in the snow- it is hilly near me & no one shovels in the morning.

I do now. I never did before, I always worked in a hospital. My office closed for snow last year and I must have stared at the email with my mouth open for 10 mins.
Once I got over the shock I sent a mass text to all my friends to let them know that I would watch their kids for however long they needed. I make a point to offer to babysit on all of the school holidays, snow days, etc because I know what it’s like to not have backup care and consider myself lucky to have these days off.
I don’t. We are considered essential personnel. We have to use personal or vacation time if we take the day off during snow

I don’t close, I’m working until midnight on Saturday too  I work in a hospital in psych emergency... the crazy doesn’t stop flowing just for the snow, so there is no option to close or call out and I’m certainly not sleeping there, luckily I don’t live far!

The heavy rain Sunday morning could wash away all the snow from Saturday night. Need to watch coastal and street flooding Sunday morning.. This is Mostly a rain event for Long Island

damn! I didn't go out this morning. I'm working home today. I didn't realize it was that bad on the roads- i saw the snow on the ground but that it wasn't bad.
that sucks!
