there is a virus going around that causes horrible pain in the hips down to the toes. My neice had it first. One day she stopped walking and told my brother her hip hurt. They thought she was making it up or had something sharp in her pj's (she is 2.5 in case that matters). They took her to the doctor and were told it was a virus. She was fine about a week later.
Then last Saturday I woke up and didn't feel well. I almost fell when i got out of bed the pain in my legs was so bad. It started at my back/hip area and shot down to my knee on one side and my toes on the other. I had to stay in bed or the recliner all day. On Sunday It was better and by Tuesday it was like nothing ever happened.
So long story short there is a nasty virus going around. It causes horrible pain and I also was vomitting from it.
I hope he feels better soon

Ouch, I'm glad you are feeling better Good to know it's going around (well not good, but you know what I mean!).
We had plans to stay in the city next week for school vacation so I may have to cancel if he doesn't get better.

Lea had the same problem a few yrs ago and ended up that she had synivitis ( sp?) due to a viral infection ! It flares up the hip joints and she couldnt walk either and was screaming !
I hope he feels better soon

OMG-I am so sorry....how horrible. Please update us and let us know how he is doing? I will be thinking about him and pray that he gets better and they find out what is going on...

He woke up this morning, no change. The doctor is calling soon to check on him so hopefully he has the blood test results. Thanks everyone
