Next Stop: Metformin

Yup, I finally realized that I needed help because I am all over the place with my cycles now that I am off the pill.

What can I expect from taking it? Do I go back to a normal period schedule? Side affects?

For some people it helps regulate the cycles, but it could take as long as 6 months.

I personally don't have any side effects from it. I take 1500mg a day with dinner. I vaguely recall having stomach issues with it at first, but that didn't last long.

I have tons of stomach issues and the met just made them worse. I take 500 mg twice a day with food. at one point the doc said it seemed to be improving my pcos symptoms but then the next test after that my lh was thru the roof so who knows.

i take 1500 mg a day and it has def regulated my cycle..my stomach took a beating first couple months i was on it but now i am fine

i take 1500mg daily for insulin resistance......i have regular cycles normally. it really did a number on my stomach for the first month or so of taking it. it's better now but i still have days where my stomach is a mess! i find that taking it WITH food (like literally in the middle of my meal) helps a lot. good luck
