Metformin, when did you stop?
Hi ladies, I'm approaching week 13 and two of my docs said to stop after firrimester but I remember my perinatal said th I'd have to take it throughout the pregnancy. I am not sure if I misheard him, but I can't reach him. WHen did you stop? Anyone have to take it throughout your entire pregnancy?

I took it throughout my first pregnancy. The last pill I ever took was the day before my water broke. I did not take it this time around, though.

I stopped taking it at 10 weeks......it really didn't help with the nausea!

I'll be four weeks on Sunday and my endocronologist had me stop it now. In my case, she feels my sugars do not warrant me to be on a 24 hour pill but instead, I will track my numbers for a week, fax them to her, and if any are high we will switch to needle insulin. FM for any questions.

My Re recommended that I stay on it for my whole pregnancy, but my OBGYN said no (she's a bit more conservative with pills), so I stopped at week 13

I think I stopped at 16 weeks last time. This pregnancy I was never on it at all.

My RE told me to stay on Metformin for the whole pregnancy. However my OBGYN said that she feels it is unneccesary and wants me to stop. I've kept taking it. I'll be 13 weeks on Sunday. I think I will take it until this bottle of pills runs out - like another 2 weeks or so?
