Newlymom chop

I never did the newlywed chop but I am 99% sure I am going to do a long bob. I have been saying after the baby but honestly, with 9 days to go, I am thinking of doing it now. Bad idea? Go for it?

First one is me and the rest are what I am thinking of...

Re: Newlymom chop

i love the second one for you (jessica simpson) - it's a little rounder, not as severe.

i am actually trying to grow my hair out to that length Chat Icon so i can get it cut similarly

ETA: just saw the jenny mccarthy one... love that too! it's how i used to have my hair. the side part makes a big difference, IMO.

Do it, it's only hair. It will grow back. I cut mine in Dec. It was past my bra and went to the "posh" short hair. Go for it.

If you really want to, then go for it! It will always grow back. If you decide to do it, I would go with #2.

I think that a long bob would look great on you. I would just make sure it is just long enough to still be able to pull it back. When babies are learning to grab they LOVE to grab onto your hair!

Personally, I love long hair. I would keep it as is and only cut it if it's completely unbearable after the baby. That said, if you don't have a preference for long hair, I think the Jessica Simpson cut would look great on you.

Wow! That was drastic! And you're happy with it? It looks great!

I just cannot imagine trying to blow all this hair out on winter mornings after BFing for 30-45 minutes and getting to work.

Re: Newlymom chop

i did it after i had my son. 13 inches to locks of love. I loved it at first, but now its in the in-between stage where i would like to cut it again or i wish it would just grow faster. I grow, cut, donate, so im goign to let it grow. I say go for it. Its such a nice feeling when you dont have to worry about your hair.

Re: Newlymom chop

You should consider donating your hair if it's long enough. It needs to be 10 inches. I did it back in December of 2006 and it was such an amazing feeling!

I donated to Locks for Love.

I say keep the long hair but if you do decide I think Jessica Simpson's is the nicest out of all of them, DH would die if I cut my hair

I love the Jenny/Jessica look for you! I donated my hair in Dec. I cut off 13 inches and had a bit of a bob. I think it will look amazing on you!

Re: Newlymom chop

you will totally look amazing...I'm dying to do the katie holmes long bangs thing bob, but my hair is ultra curly, so I would have to get it straigtened first and then do it, and to be honest my hair is my crutch, but then again I don't think I'll ever have time to blow out my mop of a head with the baby

Thanks everyone! I think I am going to do it. It will grow back and by the time it does I won't be BFing and have more time maybe to do my hair.

With Locks for Love your hair can't be color treated though right???? Chat Icon

Re: Newlymom chop

I cut my hair similar to babyonthebrain, and I LOVE it. It is so easy to maintain. It totally stays out of my face, no need to put it up.
