Newborns- what is your daily schedule with them- If you Bottle feed?

My Chat Icon is 19 days old today. I wanted to compare her schedule to other newborns to see if we are headed in the right direction.

Thanks!

Steven was born on the schedule of every 4 hours. He was like clockwork!!! Sleep for 4 hours, wake, eat, change, back to sleep for 4 hours! I was lucky!

She had no schedule at that point. She ate when she wanted and slept when she wanted. It was REALLY hard for me to accept that cause I am a scheduler but tiny babies do what they want.

Jake is also 19 days old! He is eating every 3 1/2 to 4 hours and takes anywhere from 4-5 oz. at a time. After he eats, he is usually alert for about 1/2 hour, then falls back asleep. For the 12:30ish feeding at night, he gets a bit fussy and doesn't want to fall back asleep immediately but always eventually does. He is a very good baby!

same thing here....when she gave food cues - she ate...when she fell asleep - she slept.

this is STILL our schedule now - at almost 6 weeks.

Mason was clockwork every 4 hours he had 4 oz till about 5 to 6 weeks. He's going to be 7 weeks tomorrow. Now he's about 4 1/2 to 5 hours and has a little over 5 oz.

Mattea eats every 4 hours on the DOT! At Daycare they call her the hungry hungry hippo because sometimes she wants to eat every 3.5 hours LOL....she eats anywhere from 4 to 5 oz and as far as any other scheduling she makes it LOL.....Sometimes she is VERY alert for 45 min after a feeding and sometimes she falls asleep mid-feeding. THey are young and schedules will come in time

Re: Newborns- what is your daily schedule with them- If you Bottle feed?

DS is 20 days! During the day he has 3.5-4 oz. every 3 hours. I try to time it so that his last feeding is around 10:30, giving him time to wind down Chat Icon before he goes to sleep around 11:30. Lately he'll go from the 10:30 feeding til 5AM Chat Icon but he has freakouts around 2AM where I need to rock him for a while, but he won't take a bottle. His fussy time is at night, from around 6PM to 10PM. He is usually up from 10AM to 3PM. He just fell asleep now for the first time since he woke up around 9AM.

Ok, so ava's feedibg schedule sounds right. She eats like clockwork every 4 hrs. I mean it!!! She usually eats, burps, and gets changed within an hour. It takes about about 20 min for her to fall asleep. Exception is the 11-12midnite feeding. It takes her 1.5-2 hrs to fall asleep. Other wise she sleeps for 3-3.5 hrs all the time.

Erin is 4 weeks....she eats 4oz every 3 hours during the day. I wake her about a 1/2 hour before feedings and then she is usually up about an hour after eating. She naps during the day but I never let it go more then 3 hours.

night she is in bed by 10pm....then up at 2-2:30am to eat and 6am to eat. She goes back to sleep after each feeding I think because of my daytime schedule.

I am the same way it drives me nuts but I am getting used to it. Riley is now 4 weeks and I write down every time she eats changing of her diaper etc. Her eating at least when I look back on the week it pretty much every 3-4 hours but at night she sleeps and I do not wake her Dr said that is fine.
