Newborn hair color?
Do newborns usually keep their hair color? Our baby girl was born with orange hair and we wonder if she will keep it. My sister has red hair but my husband and I do not. We were so shocked she came out with it! Lol..what do u think?

I'm not sure what is most common but I do know that it doesn't mean her hair will be that color. A friend of mine's son was born with red hair and then it was replaced with blonde. My sons hair was much darker at birth than it is now.

My dd was born with brown hair and than it all fell out. It grew back in very light blonde.

DD shocked us being born with red/strawberry blonde hair. She's 19 months now and her hair is still red/auburn and getting very curly. I love it!!!!!

DS was born with dark brown hair.
It's now sandy blonde (really gorgeous).
I'm sure it'll get darker with age... but everyone in my husband's family calls him "blondie" (obviously, blonde is NOT in their gene pool).

Same with my DD
Mine too except she is 4. She had every color hair. First it was dark dark brown, then a reddish color now completely blonde.

younger DS came out with a "glow" of orange (per the nurse) hair -- his hair is now red, sometimes orange in certain light.
But that's how DH's hair was when he was born, as was SIL. DH is now bald but SIL has beautiful red hair.

DD was born with red hair, so weird. NO ONE in our families has red hair! It all fell out after several weeks, and grew back light brown

DS was born with straight, jet black hair. It all fell out and came back in medium brown and wavy.

Both of my kids were born with almost black hair and now have light brown(DS 5yrs old) and medium brown (DD 21mos)

DS was born with blond hair. Later, it looked more reddish. Now, at 3, it's a light brown, but it looks reddish and sometimes more blond in the sunlight.
