New to the board
Hi Ladies!! My name is Maria and I am new to the board.. Just wanted to introduce myself! 
I was married on October 11th of last year and posted quite a bit on liweddings, and have been lurking on lifamilies occasionally, too.
DH and I have decided that we would like to start TTC! 
I am absolutely CLUELESS as to where to begin (other than the obvious
 ). I've begun reading the TTC threads and it's been extremely helpful and confusing all at the same time lol. I have PCOS, so many of the threads don't really apply to me, so I was hoping that all my fellow PCOSers could tell me a bit about their experiences... I anticipate this to be a looooong road ahead, so any words of encouragement would help!

Welcome to the boards PCOS is easy to control (for the most part). The toughest thing is knowing when you're ovulating, which for me, was a disaster. My cycles were very far apart so I had no clue what was going on.
but it IS possible to get pregnant with PCOS, so don't be discouraged
I was able to get pregnant in Jan (lost the baby in feb, NOT PCOS related)
and now i'm 7 weeks pregnant again and this baby is nice and healthy.

Thanks so much! The whole ovulating this is what I suspect I will have a hard time with too. I stopped taking BC about 2 months ago after almost 10 years and have not had my . since. I will def need to have a convo with my doc to see how I should best approach this. We shall see...

when did you go off BCP?
i went off on may 1st and never got AF either. my doc gave me provera and now after 82 days today i just got the provera AF.
i was diagnosed with possible PCOS although my doc wants me to chart for a month to see if i ovulate before doing anymore testing.
i would def talk to your doc about provera if you havent gotten AF in 2 months...
even if its not a true AF, at least its a clean start mentally!!

I went off BCP at the beginning of May, too and haven't had AF since. I can't get an appt with my doc til the end of August  , but will definitely ask him about Provera. Thanks again!!
