Hi and welcome. Are you being monitored on clomid or did your ob just give you a prescription and say see you in 4 months? Also why were you put on clomid? Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure you are getting proper care.

Thank you. Well I want for all my bloodwork and my DH had his test done. I even went for two sonograms. She told me that I have a lot of follicles and the clomib is going to help push out the eggs. All the bloodwork came back good- on my end. So she gave me the prescription and told me to try it for four months.

You really should be monitored on clomid. Taking any kind of fertility medication can cause you to have more than one mature follie which can lead to multiples of hyperstimulation of your ovaries. Without having sonograms and bloodwork doen during your cycle you will not know what the clomid is doing. Also, there is a maximum number of times you can take clomid in your lifetime. IMHO to take it "blindly" for 4 months is not a good idea. I hope you don't take this as me being harsh, unfortunately, this all comes from experience.

Some of this doesn't make sense....she gave your script for 4 months of Clomid? Do you need to go back on CD3 for a sonogram IF you get AF? Also, from my experience and from what I have heard on here, people usually start clomid on CD 3 or CD 5...not cycle day 4....but I guess each doc is different.......

YES you need to have a sonogram again on CD3 to start clomid. This way they can make sure there aren't any cysts left over from the prior cycle. Both my GYN and RE have me do that. My RE does much more blood work than GYN

You should have a sono and bw done on CD3 and then a few days after your last clomid pill.

Re: new on this side
I agree w/ SweetTooth. Any drugs that you're putting into your body for the purpose of creating more follicles should be closely monitored. I've hyperstimulated before and it's not pretty- it's very uncomfortable and can be very painful, not to mention dangerous... I'd hate to see anyone have to go thru that, for the purpose that their dr. wasn't paying close enough attention. I was being closely monitored but mine were with much stronger drugs.... I feel like some drs prescribe clomid like it's candy, and it's a drug- it's not meant to be taken lightly. GL but please know that you are your own best advocate. I wouldn't find being handed a prescription for meds and told to come back and see me in 4 months acceptable. GL to you
