NEW NAME Q?
If you could start over, create a new name and be a newbie here or LIW
Having nobody know anything about you at all...
1. Would you?
2. And if did.....do you think you would end up being friendly and not so friendly with the people that you are now?
3. would you actively try to be different than you are now?

well i agree on that...
but i guess i would find it interesting how people would react to me NOT knowing it was me, the poster "redhead"
So it would be funny to try
Interesting Experiment actually
deleting everyones name, no FM or personal contact...
how things would be
who would be more friendly with who?
Or NOT SO FRIENDLY
Would you think you could pick people out right away...?

I dont completely understand what you aare asking...if lets say I didnt like you now bc I thought you were rude and you went under a different name and acted extremely nice...Of course it makes sense that I would like you.
( I am solely giving an example). I dont think for myself that its your screenname that makes you nice or nasty, I think its how you act. So if you faked me out by being nicer I would like you. If you faked me out by being nastier I would hate you. Thats JMO.

How long do you think someone could keeo up with the act? There are some that I think over time their true colors will show.

ha ha ha...simply put...and I agree
Of course if someone was nice and changed their approach ( ie..lied) then I would probably be nice to them, versus not liking them originally...
I dont see any debate or anything here, the answer is obvious...if anyone "changed" how they were, the "friendships" would change as well...

I am not saying that one would in fact act "nice"
just different from how they are now...
And my question about friendship....well that is more of a personal thing
I think some people, for whatever reasons, became close....
If we all didn't know who each other was, hence the identity changes, would you end up being "close" tot he same people

eta...but if all names were changed for a week..
it would, IMO, be interesting how this board would be
AND i guess it think that people have ways they react to posters regardless of that specific post...
so if you didn't know who they were...it would be interesting how your response to them/each other would be different

no I dont think we would...
friendships on here (online) IMO are situational...
the few people on here I consider my very good friends, I wouldnt have started to know this way had a specific situation occurred or something to trigger it...
the joining of two people or more as friends simply from just chatting( no fm, etc) wouldnt happen ....If someone posted something you agreed with, related to, etc , it might then progress....but thats exactly as it happened now...and you would be posting the same info...

1. No - the biggest part of the reason I hang around here is because of the people I already know and have developed friendships with so it would be pointless for me to do that, unless I just wanted to do it for fun one boring friday night...
2. Hmm...I think a few friendship might stay, some might not...
3. I could if I wanted to...but eventually, like others said...my true colors would come out.
