New Mask Mandate

New Mask Mandate
It's different as if they don't ask for proof of vaccination - you have to wear a mask. So it's back to masking at stores, etc

No still indoor dining, no capacity restrictions.
Just wear a mask until you get to your table.
Then when you sit down, you can remove it because Covid does not infect you when in a seated position.

New Mask Mandate
The thing that gets me is that yesterday she said she didn't want to take power from the local areas - and then today - boom.
Covid isn't going away, it will continue to spread... It's not spreading at these places anyway, it's spreading at indoor personal gatherings... Same as last year. Masks do curtail the spread at schools.
But if you follow the numbers (I live next to some zipcodes that don't really follow orders and have low vaccination rates) - their numbers were sky high in the fall and now they are some of the lowest in the area, while areas of high vaccination and low numbers in the fall are now skyrocketing. But it's not spreading at your local ShopRite...

I honestly don't know if this is going to fly with a lot of places. It is only for a month and people are so over this that I am sure you will have a lot more fights and violence now. STUPID decision on her part.

I hope more people, meaning businesses also ignore it and stand up now as it is ridiculous. Honestly as a business owner, I would be afraid of people getting violent.

I don't think of it that way. When we were at a restaurant last week it was so crowded waiting in the front lobby area so obviously if you feel more comfortable where your mask. Once seated we more spaced out away from people and was only sitting with my family whom we're around with anyway. The waitress had a mask on. I don't think too much into it anyway. Gotta do what you're comfortable with. As long as stores and restaurants are open I don't judge others what they are doing.

Exactly. My husband (who is fully vaccinated with booster) wears his mask whenever his is out. That is his decision and his right to do as he pleases. I do not wear my mask unless I absolutely have no choice (doctor's office, going into school). I will not wear a mask again and if I can't go into a store then so be it. I'm done with all of this.

So, first it was the virus wont spread if you are vaccinated, now it can spread even if you are??
yes, I know the point of getting the vaccine was to lesson the symptoms, but they shoved down our throats to get vaccinated to save everyone, so really I am only saving myself

This is what you should do.
I do not want to wear a mask again especially since I had to get vaccinated and that was one positive thing about it (though to be honest I didn’t wear one before I was vaccinated cause i had covid and o considered that my vaccination)
But I will not start a fight with an employee who has no choice but to enforce it. Anyone who does that is an assshole.
It is not their fault and no one Should be taking it on them!

I wonder if businesses will enforce this and not fight it as they will be losing business because I think many will be doing the same as yourself.
I don’t plan to wear one except in the places I normally do now. I will shop elsewhere and I am sure there will be many places that will welcome maskless people.

Always bear in mind this is not a law
Laws have to go through a certain process- not just be dictated by some dictator who fell into her dictatorship because the other dictator was molesting women and got thrown out in disgrace.
Also- there are some extremely breathable masks you can wear if need be.

I don't mind wearing my "mask" until I get to my table where we know Covid doesn't spread because you are seated and eating calamari
But I won't get vaccinated to eat in a restaurant.
It would behoove the businesses to just go along with the mask thing rather than impose a vaccine mandate to avoid the mask mandate

I wasn’t implying you were. I am just saying people confuse the fact that even if it’s not a law they still have to listen to it if the establishment enforces it.
I assume they know that even if it’s not a law even establishment enforces it then people have to listen to it or not be able to shop eat etc there.
The question really is can a business not listen to the mandate since it’s not a law?

New Mask Mandate
Other parts of the county are living life normally and we have to deal with this crap. We have the most restrictions and are in no better shape than other states. I could get on board with all these restrictions if we had the lowest rates in the country.
