New Flu ? as well...if you or DC do get the flu shot, did anyone experience reactions?
If you or your DC or your family get the flu shot, did any of you ever experience any reactions? If so what were they and how long did they last?

Nope. Never. And I've gotten one every year for the past 5 years. DD has gotten one every year since she was 6 months old.
The health department offers thimersol free versions, BTW. All they ask for is a 25.00 donation.
ETA: I've also never gotten the flu.

I have never gotten a reaction to the flu shot before neither has DH. I used to get them years ago and stopped getting them until I got pregnant with DD#1 - I have gotten one every year since. DH and I both got one yesterday and DD#1 got hers at the ped (mercury free one) b.c she is starting preschool this week.
This is the 3rd year that DD#1 will have gotten one and she has never had a reaction to them. The only shots she got reactions to were the MMR and the chicken pox. None of the other shots have ever bothered her before.

I got the flu shot once 3 years ago, and a few weeks later I got sick with the flu  I never have the flu! so i'm no not a big believer in this shot

Yes, my kids got the FluMist nasal flu vaccine on 9/1 this year and 2 days later they both had fever, vomiting, etc. It only lasted about 2 days.

We get the flu shot every year and I NEVER had any symptoms, same for DH and my kids.
Out of 8 years of getting the flu shot, I got the flu once. I think thats pretty good considering the flu shot only protects you from one strain of the flu and theres multiple flu strains that go around each year.

I get the flu shot every year and have never had areaction. Neither has DH.
DC got the shot a little over a week ago, and no issues at all. They didn't even cry.

DS just got his flu shot about a week ago and had no reaction at all. He also did not have any reaction last year either when he got it.
I got my very first flu shot ever last year also and I had no reaction.

No reaction in the two years he's taken it so far...but we were always warned of flu like symptoms being possible.
