Flu shot while TTC?
My job is offering the flu shot and I was on the wait list from a few months ago. Is it safe to get a flu shot during your 2ww?

Some doctors prefer not to give it to women during their first trimester. Although they do recommend it to preggers in general. I asked DH's aunt who is an obgyn about me getting it while TTC- she said that she is required to recommend it to preggers but in her honest opinion she told me not to get it since I have no health issues and have never gotten to flu before.

I feel the same way. You shouldn't get it in your 1st trimester, but I would see what your dr says. I would want to know what could happen just in case of pg.
Preggers should get it if you are in your 2nd or 3rd trimester during flu season, but I didn't. I only had the flu once when I was younger, and I really don't get sick much so I opted not to get it.

No, the doctor that came to our office to give us the flu shot told me if there is a chance I may be PG than I cannot get the flu shot. He told me to call him if I get my AF, well I got AF and he was all out of the shots!

maybe I'll just pass on it since I'm in my 2ww. I think I only got the flu once in college.
