New and Confused

Hi Girls, I am new on this board and I am hoping you all can help me. I have been off the pill going on my 4th month and ever since I stopped the pill I have had normal cycles lasting about 32-33 days. I got AF on June 4th and should have gotten it again around July 7th, but I didn't. I did have some very light pink spots when I wiped (sorry if TMI) on that day but then that was it. The next 2 days I had very, very light brown discharge (again TMI) like once a day. I orginally thought I was getting AF so I put a tampon in but when I went to change it on the 8th, nothing was there. I have taken 4 FRER pregnancy tests and they have all come back BFN. I don't know what is going on!!! I either just want to know if I am pregnant and if not I want to know what is going on with my cycle!!!

Sorry this is so long I am just very frustrated. Do any of you have experience with anything like this?? Oh, and to make things more confusing my Mom told me that when she was pregnant with my sister she got BFNs on HPTs until she was 4 months pregnant!!! TIA for any advice!

Re: New and Confused

Hmmm, I know a few girls on here had normal cycles for a month or 2 after going off the pill and then it went wacko. Not sure if that is what is happening to you. But, if your mom said that, you may want to call the doctor and see if you can get a blood test. You never know. Good luck!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: New and Confused

Some women never get positive pregnancy tests. If you think you could be pregnant, go see your OBGYN for a blood test.

Re: New and Confused

I went off the pill last August. Everything seemed normal. Then, in November I started spotting...about midcycle. I thought I was PG, so I test...BFN. Went to the dr and he said going off BC can cause spotting. It was only that one month. I was on BC for so long (9 years) that I didnt even know what "normal" felt like. Now, I know exactly when I am O'ing b/c I get cramps and a backache. I never had that on BC (b/c I wasn't O'ing, duh Chat Icon )
Anyway, you should go to your doctor just to make sure you are healthy, but I have a feeling it's just your body trying to go back to "normal".
