I guess I can officially say that DH and I are TTC...we are very excited! we really haven't discussed it with friends and family yet and I am not sure if we are going to...what did you all do?

We chose not to discuss it with family, and other told closest friends after a few months.

Congratulations on starting to try!! We did discuss it with family and friends, but it has taken us a long time(we started in July) so the downfall of telling people is every month they ask are you pregnant....It gets hard after a while....

I didn't discuss it the first time around but I have told people we are trying this time around. It all depends on how private you are. Now that we are on cycle #5 it is getting annoying when people ask what's taking so long, but on the other hand, I hate it when people think we are just waiting to try for #2.

This is the main reason why I think we are keeping it to ourselves for a while. I don't think I would be able to handle people asking all the time...even now since DH and I have been married a little over a year people are already asking and thinking that I am and just hiding it from them

Hi and welcome! We just started TTC as well and we have not told anyone. Our reasoning was that we did not want family asking us about it all the time.

Good luck!!
I never discussed my TTC plans with friends OR family. I like the element of surprise.  However, since my m/c, several people are aware that I am trying again...but I'm still kind of uncomfortable with that.

Welcome! DH and I did not share news with our family or friends....although I am sure people assume...but we didn't want the added pressure and questions. Plus I feel like saying TTC just is like telling my parents "hey mom and dad...we BD ALOT!" lol

We haven't told our family (although they won't stop asking us when they'll have grandchildren) just a few close friends. This is our 6th cycle and I'm happy that I don't have to discuss it all the time!

Congrats!! Hope your stay is short. For the first few months we did not tell anyone. I have not spoken to family about it. Some friends know now. With each month passing it gets harder and harder. People keep asking when are you gonna have kids? I just say it not for the lack of trying and try and make a joke about it even though it is upsetting.
