Need your opinions...going to a concert
Ok, I'll preface by saying this: I've been to many rock concerts where I see VERY pregnant women...like, 8-9 months...at the concert. I have a BIG problem with that, because by then the ears are fully formed...and if it's loud for the mom, it's loud for the baby.
I am a HUGE hard rock fan. I was just saying to DH a few weeks ago (before we knew we were pregnant) how I am DYING to go to a concert. Well, my favorite group, Nine Inch Nails, just announced tour dates and I am DYING to go. I'd be 4 months at the time of the concert.
So, now the question...and no flames, please...should I go? Or should I pass? DH thinks I shouldn't go, only because of the risk of being near someone who's smoking.
What do you girls think?

Absolutely go at 4 months!!! You won't hurt your little  . I wish Cheryl was around- she'd tell you how she went to one of her husband's shows I think the week before she delivered!!

I would definately go!! There is so much noise going around inside of you that half the noise is probably blocked out. I'm going to a concert at 8 months pregnant (but it's not rock, it's Donna Summer ).
Go and have FUN!!

I go to car races which are very loud as well. I can't put earmuffs on him, but it's only for a few hours

I say go, but just watch out b/c I've been at concerts where people smoke (and I am not talking cigarettes) so just don't stay around any of them. Enjoy!!

I would go at ANY time during my pregnancy. And I have. I went to a U2 concert at almost 8 months pregnant! Had a blast.

But that being said, I went to a Kenny Chesney concert when I was 7 1/2 months preggo with DD......they were floor seats, I couldn't pass them up!

Woohoo! Go and have fun!
I went to Foo Fighters with DH when I was 6 months preggers, although I was in a skybox it was still a bit loud. But I had tons of fun!

I would go. I will be 7 Months Preggo at the Crue Fest on 7/8...and you but your butt...I would not miss it!!
I will be going to see Bon jovi and Rancid this summer as well!!!

i would have no problem going to a concert at 8-9 months pregnant unless my doctor told me not to. babies are very protected in the womb. go and have fun

Go and enjoy yourself. At 4 months you should still be able to navigate the stairs with ease and the noise shouldn't be a problem. DH and I took my cousin's kids to a figure skating show when I was about 5-6 months PG. It was hard to climb up and down the narrow staircases and the baby moved and grooved to the music the whole time!

this is just me...
and it's only because it took us so long to get PG, as I know it did you.
I wouldn't go. There's likely no risk, but why even put it out there as a possible risk after all you've been through.
There will be other rock concerts, this is something you've waited your whole life for.
Aside from the smoking and the noise, is the crowds and you don't need to be pushed and bumped and what-not.
I'd err on the side of caution.
Again, it's a bias based on the struggle to get PG in the first place
