Need your opinions!!!

ok a college friend of mine is pregnant and due in Sept. She's not a super close friend, but definitely someone I talk to and see on occasion, esp when we all get together. Anyway, the last time I saw her she was telling me all about her registry and shower...when and where it was. Well it seems I'm not invited b/c it's August 6th and I haven't gotten an invitation. My other friend called and asked if me if we wanted to go together (she obviously assumed I'd be invited too.) Well I just moved so maybe something got confused, or maybe she's keeping really small. Either way should I send something? and I was intending on inviting her to mine - should I not?

That's a tough one. Maybe your friend can ask someone in case your invite got lost. I think I would still invite her and send a gift. I'd probably be hurt that I wasn't invited though so maybe I wouldn't. Hmmmm... I'm not very helpful, am I? I think the "big" thing to do is still invite her and send a smaller gift than you would if you went. That way you are the "bigger" person (if you care about that.)

I think if you are still invited and dont RSVP...they will hopefully call to make sure you got the invite. But IMO I dont think its about being a bigger person to send a gift. I just dont think you have to bc you dont have an invite. I dont send shower gifts that I am not invited to BUT if you feel like seeing her in the hospital then a little something wouldnt hurt. If all stays the same and you are not invited...my advice...skip the gift part.

follow your heart - if you want to, send a gift....she might not have had authority over her guest list, or it might have fallen through the cracks too - so don't get down...you know how crazy it can get being preggers! I would invite her still to yours if you want, why not? she can always say no! Hopefully, it just got lost and will find its way or they will call you!
