Need your help/advice....
So I went to a new gyno last month, Dr. Guzman, and she is very nice and feel comfy with her but, when the BFP comes and I have to have a sono they have to send me elsewhere because of my insurance and as far as her hrs she is only in 3 days aweek for a few hours.. She also delivers at the hospital where all my cousins, myself and my son were born, I like it but, havent been there in almost 17 yrs, lol.
So I was thinking of switching my gyno to Dr. Dean in Garden City, heard he is really good. Hours are good for me but, once again cause of my insurance have to go to Winthrop for sonos. He delivers at South Nassau and heard they are great with maternity. I hope I am making sense right now, very tired. Would you switch or stick with the 1st one?

Re: Need your help/advice....
My Dr is only in a few days a week also but she always made time to see me or squeeze me in if need be (plus if she wasn't in the office she was usually at the hospital).
Assuming that you like both doctors the same, and the drive to get a sono is equal, then would you rather deliver at the hospital that you are somewhat familiar with or at South Nassau?
How far is the drive (in full blown labor or in case of any evening or weekend false alarms) to each hospital? Which hospital is closer to both families?
Assuming that the only real difference is the hospital and I had heard good things about both hospitals then I would choose the doctor who delivers at the hospital closest to my house.

I'd like to deliver at eith er hospital and they are both close to me. I did hear also that South Nassau you have your own room

If that is true then I would definitely go with the private room. IMO I would not feel comfortable sharing a room with someone.
