Need window treatment help for this window

I am in the process of redoing this room for the baby's nursery. This is the window.

We plan to put cellular shades up since this is the side the sun rises.

1) Should we re-hang the rod, so it's above the window molding?

2) Do you think a valance would be too much since there is not a lot of space between the top of the window molding and the crown molding?

I would re hang the bar so it's above the window.with a little bit more space between window and bar. I can see it in my head..it's hard to explain..make the bar pop out??

I would rehang the bar-I think it looks a little funny hanging lower than the top of the window.

If you do a valance and it covers through the top of the window I think you would be fine, I just wouldn't want the top of the window exposed.

I would agree, rehang the bar so its no in the middle. I would also get a double bar for the valence and it would cover the moulding on top.

ok, that's what I thought too. So should I hang the bar centered between the crown molding and the molding of the window frame?

I would hang the bar right below your crown molding. It will make the window look longer.

I think valance would look fine, but I prefer panels or panels and a valance (not sure if that's what you meant).
