Need some TTC expertise regarding irregular cycles
Hi ladies. I am hoping to start TTC for baby #2 but I have quite the irregular cycle.
One month my cycle is about 29-31 days, the next month it'll be 35-45 days. I assume it's one ovary taking longer to ovulate.
With that said.. today is CD1 and this is my short month. Do you think you girls can help me figure out when I may ovulate?
I plan on using OPKs as well but I'd like to have some input from you ladies. TIA!

You never can be certain but I guess I would aim for CD 15 as your O day. I would Bd on CD 11, 13, 15, 17. That should cover your bases. I heard not to do days in a row bc it doesn't give your dh enough time to properly "refuel". HTH!

Re: Need some TTC expertise regarding irregular cycles
My cycles were about 32-35 days long and I O'd on CD22. My CM was a big indicator for me. I would do every other day starting on CD 11/13 through CD 24. GL!

I have a similar situation with irregular cycles but I also don't always O every one. I use the CBEFM, otherwise all my money would be going to OPK's since it changes all the time. CBEFM takes away the guessing on when you O.

I have irregular cycles and use the CBEFM. Unfortunately, it is not really working for me too well either. It's been showing high fertility for 6 days now and flashing the "m" symbol which means AF is coming in a couple of days. Doesn't make sense. Have a doc appt scheduled at this point. Good luck to you!

You need to give it time to get used to you, especially if you have irregular cycles. It's telling you to expect AF because in a typical 28 day cycle, you're probably at the point where AF will be coming in a few days but if you have an irregular cycle and you're still getting high readings, I would be very surprised if AF shows up in the next few days.

Re: Need some TTC expertise regarding irregular cycles
I have insanely irregular and looooong cycles. I temp, track CM, chart on fertility friend and use CBE digital OPKs. This will pinpoint it as close as possible buy unfortunately it's an inexact science.
Good luck!!

also, keeping track of your CM can be a good indicator when you're about to O.
