Need some insight re: potty training....
DD is 2.5 yo....she's now been potty trained for a month. Everything is going well - no complaints.
In the last 2 weeks, she has been getting an on again, off again red spots on her butt, in different locations. She tells us they hurt when we rub eczema cream on it. We have no idea what us causing them. The spots are not small either, - I would estimate they are 1" in diameter.
The underwear has been washed and rewashed numerous times (it's Disney Minnie Mouse & doc McStuffins). She wipes and then we wipe to ensure she got it all. We thought maybe the toilet seat she sits on, but the rash never appeared in all the times we toilet trained.
The rash will disappear by morning after we put cream on it, but will return by the next evening. It's leaving us very perplexed.
Any suggestions? We would take her to the Dr, but it's not always there, but when it is, it looks really red and sore just by the look of it.

She could have a yeast infection? My DD had one..although the dots were small. eta: when I took her to the ped the dr said it was very common in newly trained girls.

If my kid gets a rash, usually it's on the inside of hit butt (near the hole).
I'd take a picture of it with a good camera to show your pediatrician.
If you kid has eczema, maybe that's it. Anything could be causing a bit of a flair (like how underwear rub against her in different outfits).

My son has this as well - his is more by the waist band of the undies.
Some hydrocortisone and aquafor helps us.

Aquafor.....forgot about that stuff. Will try it the next time we see the rash.
We checked her this morning, the spot is gone and there is no visible signs of a yeast infection.
