Need Opinions
Last night DH and I ordered all our new stuff for the master bath we are renovating. Originally, the plan was to get two matching sink/vanities and have a matching medicine cabinet over each one. It was cheaper to to get one double vanity (61"). We currently have a double vanity, but it's 84" long, 61 was the biggest we could get using the company and style we wanted. However, because the vanity is only 61", the smallest sized cabinet is 30" and having two 30's right next to eachother we decided wouldn't look right. The next (and largest size up) was 48", at first we thought to just center it over the vanity, but also decided it would look weird. So instead we ordered two customized 24" decorative mirrors, one over each sink. Although the vanity has tons of cabinet and drawer space, I'm going to have a big empty space between the two mirrors. My question, is would you shop around for a medicine cabinet to put in between the two mirrors, or just put a piece of art work there or something? I'm pretty confused and overwhlemed by this whole process!
TIA

I wouldn't get anything until you hang it and see how it all comes together. If anything i might just get one of those hanging vases from pottery barn and put that in the middle.

oooh, I was thinking of that, but trying to keep the girlie look down to a minimum for DH I may do something like that in the guest bath we are redoing as well.

hmmm - i would really hold off on buying anything though - it may look less weird than you think it will. You could always put a towel holder in the middle - like one of those little rings - like this:

Is it too big a space just to leave it empty? You can do glass shelves, those are nice and not too girly..
Heres the bathroom we're trying to replicate in our house but we only have room for one sink..I still plan to do a glass shelf though.

I like that, the vanity we ordered is pretty similar (just a lighter wood). The more I think about it (after seeing these ideas), the more I'm leaning towards the shelf idea or the towel holder idea.
Thanks!
