Need Curb Appeal Suggestions: Pic Inside.
Please suggest exterior paint colors for the house, which is now dark green ( ). Also, I have to select a color for the window trim and the wood accent on the roof, which is now white with a bird on it (again- ). If you have any other quick and affordable ways to dress up this exterior please share. Thanks for your opinions. I know I'll get some good design ideas from you guys!! Thanks so much.

How about tan exterior (shingles), white trim, black shutters on window to the right of the door, red front door and flower boxes on front windows with red and white flowers?
I was originally going to suggest white as an exterior color but i think the exterior color should be darker than the light color of the roof.
Another option (although not my preference) is yellow exterior, dark green shutters, white trim and dark green door.

I would add shutters and some landscaping. That alone would add so much you may change your mind about painting. If you need to paint there are so many great combinations that will work. I really like the tan/white/black/red that skew suggested.

Re: Need Curb Appeal Suggestions: Pic Inside.
tear down the bird first of all if you need to paint i honestly would wait until you lived in the house a few months. I hate HATE the tan we painted our house but we had to make a choice prior to closing to get the house up to close. I am not a fan of tans and even though the house looks nice i would of done something bolder because its only a temp solution before we do siding.
As mentioned do shutters, i think it would look far more better with just that if you can size it both on the left window and the double rights. If you can not do both then do window boxes in white (to plant flowers.) Take up all that little shrubby growth (unless its since flowered) and add two beds, and beds following the pathway and you should be good until next year
I am learning sometimes its best to really live in the space before doing anything major.

I agree regarding the shutters and the landscaping. I like the dark green because it blends in with the foliage you have around you. I'm very picky about tans though since I think some of them look dingy.
Maybe add white shutters to the window on the left to make it appear bigger and do a white flower box on the window on the right.
Definitely spruce up the landscaping in the front. Create flower beds in front of the house and plant some flowers along the walkway.

Re: Need Curb Appeal Suggestions: Pic Inside.
I think pavers would make a SIGNIFICANT impact on the overall appearance right away.
I'd put down pavers for the whole driveway/walkway up to the door.
I'd change the fence to the white vinyl one (doesn't look like you have a ton of fence so it should be affordable).
THEN I'd look at changing the actual house...those two things might be enough to make it look sooooooooo different.
Good luck!

Re: Need Curb Appeal Suggestions: Pic Inside.
First, I would start with doing a google image search for something like "house gray roof" to see pictures of what others have done.
Then if you had a color idea like yellow you could google image search "yellow victorian house" because that triangular section with the scalloped edging is something I see with victorian styles.
I wouldn't go crazy making expensive changes just yet, no reason to rush before you even get used to living there. I always love white edging, no matter what color the house is, I think it defines windows and doors nicely without being too much.
Even if you're not doing the driveway just yet, you can define the edges. You could dig a planting bed alongside the driveway in the yard. If your town has free wood chips for mulch, you wouldn't have to pay a dime to put it in. Then you could fill it in here and there with perennials that will come back next year.
By the way, that is exactly what my house looked like before the previous owners extended it and changed it up a little. I have a soft spot for that look.
