Can I get suggestions ? (pic)
For a window treatment and mantle decor?
What else do I need?  I'll be getting extra throw pillows for the couch and a club type chair for under the picture on the right (that we will eventually hang)...and we will be framing the TV in a wooden frame.
We will aslo be removing the dog on the right, and we're getting a TV console to replace that coffee table all the way on the right

panels with a dark wood rod. i really like the look of woven blinds so i would suggest that as well. i would also hang artwork on either side of the window for balance.
any plans to restain the mantle?
ets: how big is the rug? if you can, i would position it more under the couch to leave more visible floor space in front of temp tv stand.

I woud do a dark wood rod with panels in a cream/ivory color to match the rug.
I would also maybe paint the mantle a lighter cream or white.
You could also do a white/cream/tan mosaic tile inside to make it pop.
As for on the mantle maybe leaning some framed pictures or a mirror on it with some candles would look nice.

ITA! I would do a mirror on the mantle with some pretty candles... all different sizes. what's the matter with the dog? i think he's cute.
I think it's a great room. looks comfy and sophisticated all at the same time.
