Need a Venue....
I posted a week or so ago that Im throwing my DH a surprise 30th bday. I looked at one place today and i liked it but i dont wanna only see one place.
Criteria:
- private room
-bar atmosphere
-appy and/or buffet
Im not looking for a catering hall or sit down affair
SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!
It could be a restaurant or a bar which does private parties.
HELP where do i look for this??
ps- On Long Island preferably

I have heard good things about the catering at Domenico's on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown.
George Washington Manor - but not so much "bar" feel...

Peppercorns in Hicksville, has a private room upstairs, with a dance floor and a bar. They have several packages too.

The Inn in Long Beach has the whole top floor you can reserve for a party. My sister did that for my bil... nice space, decent size bar and they have live DJ and band

how far out on LI are you looking for??
There is a place in Holbrook...called the Irish Times Pub that has a seperate room and very good food!

Blue Honu, Huntington Village.
They have a lively bar scene/restaurant but also have a private room upstairs.
Not sure about $$$.

Yeah that is a good place. I was hopingt o stay close to Nassau bc all DHs family/friends are in Nassau, NYC, Jersey

In Nassau:
Christianos in Syosset private room family style italian awesome food
I have heard good things about Wickers
Runyons not sure where it is but I just went to a shower there and it was good.

I love that place. I never went there for a party though.
