Re: need a new vacuum

I have an Electrolux Oxygen canister vac with HEPA filter.
I also have one cat that sheds, and a house that gets dusty fast.

It works great and I love the flexibility of the various attachments - I can vacuum the dust off my ceiling fan blades - could never do that with an upright.

Re: need a new vacuum

Kenmore Progressive Canister and a Hoover Stick vac which is surprisingly wonderful for a stick. The red one.

We have two kitties mostly hardwood and some carpeting.

We have a Kenmore Progressive also and it's great. I wanted a Dyson but my parents bought us this instead but I can honestly say it works great. My mom considers herself a vacuum "expert" and this is her pick. We don't have pets but ours does have a pet attachment.

Re: need a new vacuum

Shark navigator. I read on here that it rivals a dyson. I am both horrified and impressed at the amount of dirt it takes out of my carpets every single time. And my carpets are only a year old!

Re: need a new vacuum

another vote for the shark navigator (pro) i HAD the dyson ball and hated it, the suckion was very poor after a lot of research i decided on the shark and i am SOOOOO happy with it. (i have an 85lb boxer, wood floors and area rugs)

We currently have an Aerus Lux Classic (the "real" Electrolux). We had an Electrolux (supposedly a "Eureka") that we got in 2006 that completely died this year and it wasn't worth it to fix (my mom also got one around the same time and hers died a year or so ago)... So far we like the new one, and hopefully it will last as long as my mom's original Electrolux did (or close to it!)

Shark Navigator. I have 2 cats and a 3yo toddler with hard wood floors, area rugs and carpets.

This is the best vacuum I've had yet.

Re: need a new vacuum

For those who love the shark navigator, how do you like the bagless feature?

I had a smaller bagless vacuum when I was in an apartment and I hated emptying it, I felt like the dust/dirt flew everywhere. Any tips to help with this?

The reviews seem to be great on this vacuum, the only thing holding me back is the bagless feature. TIA!
