NB Mom w/reflux ques
hi ladies-
my 3 week old has been spitting up her food hrs after a feeding. Yesterday it even came out of her nose which scared the crap out of me!
She is on Enfamil GentleEase formula. I always sit her up to feed & make sure to burp her before I put her down.
Is there something I can do bout this? I feel so bad for her when she spits up like that.

OMG the nosey spits!! My DD would scream blood murder because it hurt her so bad. It was so scary and sad and there was nothing I could do. She did it after every feeding and sometimes close to the next feeding. She outgrew it as she was sitting more upright around 2.5 mo. (still not sitting up but better head and upper body control). She was on axid and maalox too which I think helped. She wasnt colicky so they said she didnt have bad enough reflux for zantac to help.
Have you seen a ped GI?

no, but the Ped did mention maalox even before this happened.
do you put it in the formula? and how much?
did it help?
DD was so scared yesterday I wanted to cry!

I did .02 ml 3 times per day. Its so little. was I always pre made bottles for the day so I put them in 3 bottles and labeled the bottles. I definitley noticed a difference on it. I was just doing axid before that. I took her off everything at 5 mo and she was fine. The ped wanted me to take her off axid at 4 mo but I wanted to give it another month since she was doing well.
ETA- you can also put it in a nipple before feedings. I got the cvs brand cherry and she loved it.
